Dear Jean, Waking up in the Amazon Rain Forest in Ecuador is absolutely stunning. It certainly beats waking up in the East End of London hands down. Being several thousand feet up in the Andes cannot be described in words, it has to be seen, smelt and heard. It sometimes annoys me when people say they go to Spain year after year, the world is bigger than Spain. With Wings on Wheels I have seen the pyramids of Egypt, The Great Wall of China, the beauty of New Zealand, the African Savannah with it's wonderful wildlife and now the fabulous rain forest in Ecuador. No TV programme can replace these experiences for real, how do you explain seeing a million wildebeest for as far as the eye can see? The World about Use and the Hamlyn Children's Picture Atlas of the World gave me a passion for travelling from a child, however, travelling on my own is not an option as I have Cerebral Palsy and need help, so travelling with groups of like minded people gets over this problem. Wings on Wheels is an excellent company that can provide the help we need. In my case my Cerebral Palsy limits my dexterity so the main help I need is at meal times with carrying plates, putting on my plate guard, cutting up my food, sorting out drinks etc. I also need help with shaving, teeth brushing and wheelchair pushing when I need to use a wheelchair. Wings on Wheels is more expensive that a normal package holiday, but you are paying for the escort and the care assistant and their invaluable services. I would find it impossible to holiday without that assistance. I take a lot of flights on my own but then I am visiting friends and relatives who help me. Even the airline staff think you shouldn't be travelling alone. Being disabled puts your credibility in doubt and until attitudes change I will be happy to travel with Wings on Wheels.

I wanted to write- a bit late - to say how much I enjoyed the trip to China. You really did make it easy for me and it was not so frightening as I feared it would be. It was a fantastic experience to go to China and not something I ever really expected to do. It was fantastic to see The Great Wall & The Terra Cotta Warriors.  I shall keep my eyes open for future trips and hope I shall be able to come away with you again. As I think I mentioned to you I am particularly keen to go to Norway & the Icebergs!  Many thanks again for a truly fantastic trip
